Assembly tips:
- Put the cables in the center of toroidal
- It should not be placed close to a curved area of the cables that crossed it
- Use a toroid of at least twice the diameter of the cable or braid of the cables
- In very critical cases, it is necessary to install a ferromagnetic sleeve around the cables on the internal part of the toroidal
- The toroidal must be crossed in the same sense by all cables (included in neutral if present)
- The neutral cable should not be connected to ground after toroidal
- In case the protected line has a metallic protection, it must be grounded after toroidal.
The toroid connection to the leakage relay must be connected with a shielded cable in the following cases:
- Differential threshold
- Distance from toroidal> 10 m
- Signal cable installed less than 30 cm from the power cord
It is advisable, and in mandatory critical situations:
- Make a braid with toroidal-relay connection cables
- The cable section should not be less than 1 mm and its length can not exceed 20 m
- The cables can not be installed near electronic components or power cords that can generate magnetic fields or disturbances in the measurement signal
